- [Instructor] Okay, I'm in the auto imports file. Now I'm gonna run the regression tree algorithm. Here's where it's found. It's under Analyze, Classify, Tree. Now for almost all of you, regression tree is gonna be a stronger algorithm than automatic linear modeling in terms of fitting your data, dealing with missing values, dealing with categorical values and so on. The potential downside is that decision trees in SPSS are in a special module. So, conceivably, you have access to automatic linear modeling but do not have access to regression trees. But I consider it the stronger algorithm. Let's take a look. This is just warning us, as always, that our measurement level should be set properly. Nominal, Ordinal, and Scale. That really is important because the regression tree is going to automatically process our variables differently based upon what level of measurement they are. So, price is gonna be our dependent.
