- [Instructor] A software package like SPSS Statistics has so many options for doing so many things that it can be a bit intimidating. In fact, even someone like myself, that's been using SPSS for 25 years, is always finding new menu choices and new menu options with each release. So what I'm going to try to do is make the options related to our topic, regression, more manageable. So let me walk you through some of the more important ones. First, there's an option for doing automatic linear modeling. Now, this kind of fancy name is simply ordinary least squares regression, but with a kind of expert system or wizard overlaid on top, which helps you automatically do some things behind the scenes. I'll be demonstrating it in its own video. Also, decision trees is perhaps the most important topic that falls under what we normally call predictive analytics these days.
