- [Instructor] So you finally have your data in SPSS and you've set up the labels, you've set up the transformations, the recordings, the reversings, computing new variables, you've done all this prep work, and now it's time to actually see what you have there. Start looking at your data with basic descriptive analysis as a way of seeing what you have as a foundation for further research. The easiest way to do this in SPSS is actually to start with something called frequencies. Now, you might associate frequencies with nominal and ordinal variables, and that's true, but it turns out that the frequencies command in SPSS is actually very flexible, and very powerful, and probably the best place to get started. So let's come up here to analyze down to descriptive statistics and over to frequencies. Now I'm going to run through this a few times to show you some of the variations.
