- [Instructor] As we've seen, cluster analysis and association rules are very different in how they operate under the hood. And also in the kind of results they present to you. But since association rules is finding relationships between product purchases and its people, namely the people that belong to our cluster segments, are buying those products. It really is two sides of the same coin. A caution before you anticipate that there's going to be this one-to-one match between the clusters in the association rules. Keep in mind we've divided our customers into just four clusters. At the same time, we've generated thousands of association rules. So a cluster is an overall pattern of a large group of people. So it's more generic in nature. Association rules involve many fewer people. Typical rules support might be just a couple percent. Not tens of percent.
