- [Instructor] Okay, we're gonna explore the waste data set through the lens of the explore procedure. So I'm gonna go here in the menus to analyze, descriptive statistics, explore. Many years ago, way back in the 70s, a famous book was written. I don't recommend that you actually seek out the book because it's too old now, but in the late 70s there was a book written called Exploratory Data Analysis, by a very influential statistician by the name of John Tookey. The explore procedure literally does the kinds of things that were recommended by Tookey in that very famous book. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna take all six variables, our dependent and the others, and this may be surprising at first, we're gonna put all of them in the dependent list. Now let me review what a factor would be. We don't have one in this case, but you really wanna think of the dependent list as where you put your scale variables, and the factor list is where you put your categorical variables. Since we…
