Calculating and interpreting regression coefficients

- [Instructor] Okay, we're gonna be working in a new dataset. So if we go into our resources, one of the case study files is called MWBank. So we'll just go ahead and double-click on that to launch SPSS. Let me tell you a little bit about this dataset. This is actual data from court few years ago. Some employees of a bank sued about fairness and pay. And as we take a look at the dataset, we're actually gonna see some evidence that maybe there was bias in pay. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna do the simplest regression we can imagine. We're gonna go ahead and have just one independent variable. So we're gonna go down here to Linear, not to Automatic Linear Modeling, that's quite different, we're gonna go down here to Linear. And our dependent variable is going to be beginning salary. And our independent variable is gonna be Education Level. Now, Education Level has been declared as ordinal because, of course, we don't talk about 10 1/2 years of school or 12 1/2 years of school…
