Surface tab
- [Instructor] When working with surfaces, it's very similar to working with extrusions and other features in SolidWorks xDesign. Going down to the toolbar and clicking on the Surfaces tab, we find all of our surface features here. We have Projection Curve, Intersect Curve, Through Point Curve, Extrude Surface, Revolve Surface, Sweep Surface, Loft Surface, Fill Surface, Net Surface, Trim Surface, Offset Surface, and Surface Extend. We also have a Ruled Surface as well. Now, we're not going to look at all of these, but I do want to highlight some in particular. Now, the Surface Extrusion, Revolved Surface, Sweep Surface, and Loft Surface work almost identically to the extrusion. You've got to have an existing profile, so I'm going to go ahead and hit Extrude Surface, and for my sketch, I'm going to select this sketch that I've already pre-made. I'm going to drag this out some distance, and hit OK, and you can see we've created our surface. Pretty basic. Now, if I wanted to do a revolve…
