Working with configurations
- Configurations allow us to have multiple versions of the same part. To get started with configurations, let's go up here to the Feature Manager. And then go two icons over to the Configuration Manager. Right-click on this icon at the top and click on Add Configuration. Click on and type 2 and I've automatically created a new configuration. If you flip between the two by just double-clicking, you can see I can easily switch between the two. And you notice that actually nothing changes between the two. And that's because we haven't actually made any changes. Let's go over to the Feature Manager here. And click on this Boss, or Cut Extrude here. And suppress that one. So that one is going to suppress the triangle. Now this configuration doesn't have it. If I go back over here to the default configuration, you can see that one does have the triangular cut. This new configuration does not. You want to add one more configuration, no problem. Right-click, Add Configuration. Let's call this…
