Welcome

- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Gabriel Corbett and welcome to Sheet Metal with SolidWorks Enclosure Design. In this course, we'll look at the design of a sheet metal enclosure to house a circuit board and some connectors. I'll start by reviewing the key sheet metal tools that we'll need in the course then jump right in and start designing the enclosure. We'll show you how to use equations to drive the size of the box as well as how to calculate the quantity of vent holes used based on the overall dimensions. Next, we'll build the cover in context so it automatically adjusts in size to the base and updates in the top level assembly. We'll go over some techniques for working with circuit boards and how to build and download connectors and board level components. Holes for all the connectors and hardware will be created dynamically and any changes to the design will automatically adjust in the corresponding parts. We'll top that off with techniques for working with decals and adding graphics to your parts and then creating the final drawings and preparing for manufacturing. Now, let's get started with Sheet Metal with SolidWorks Enclosure Design.
