Using the exercise files
- [Instructor] If you're a premium member of the library, you have access to the Exercise Files used throughout this course. I'd recommend downloading the files to your desktop, and then go ahead and double-click and open up the folder. Inside of there, you can see we have a individual folder for each and every chapter. And inside each one of those chapters, if you open it up, we've got a folder for each one of the movies. If you open up one of those movie folders, you can see here we've got a starting file, as well as a finished version of the file. The finished version will always end in an _FIN. If you head back over here, have a look at maybe chapter 14. 14_04 is a pretty good example here. I have the original file here, I have the finished version of the assembly, and then up here you can see I have the individual files that are being used in that assembly. You generally do not need to open the individual files. You just probably are going to be opening the top level assembly, which is then going to be accessing those individual files. If you're a monthly member or annual member of the library, you don't have access to the Exercise Files, but you can follow along from scratch or with your own assets. Now let's get started with SOLIDWORKS 2018 Essential Training.
