Join Gabriel Corbett for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the Tab key to hide and show, part of SOLIDWORKS: Tips & Tricks.
- [Instructor] In this video,…I'm gonna show you how to use the Tab key…to hide and show components within an assembly.…It's pretty straightforward and easy to use.…Go ahead and just click on the component…you'd like to get rid of,…hover over it and just go ahead and hit Tab…on your keyboard and notice it just disappears.…Same thing with other components, just hit Tab.…You actually don't even need to click on them,…just hover over the component and hit Tab,…you can easily just remove components just this easily…by just hovering over them and hitting Tab.…Now if you want to bring those back,…you basically need to hover over where you think…that component is.…
So click on Shift and then Tab,…and it's gonna go ahead and bring that right back.…Now, over here you can see…we do have this other piece that looks…like this little black can here,…let's hover over there,…hit Shift + Tab and bring that back.…Inside of there we know we do…have one of these little cones.…Let's hover over it and hit Shift + Tab…to bring that back.…
