Using Revolve to create 3D parts: SOLIDWORKS 2014 Essential Training

In SOLIDWORKS, you can use the Revolve command to create 3-D objects from shapes and a center around which the sketch will be spun. You can use both external axes and internal edges to a sketch in order to create complex shapes from simple sketches. The revolve tool has many advanced features that allow you to customize how the sketch is revolved around an axis and you can even specify a thin option to create hollow shapes.
