- [Voiceover] In this example, we're gonna be working with the fill pattern command. The first thing I need to do is create a boundary. So I'm gonna choose the top surface of my part here. Click on start a sketch and use the offset and the command, I'm gonna flip this around so it's reverse. It's got a one inch dimension. Click on okay and there's by outside boundary. Go ahead and exit out of that sketch and there we have it. Now up under linear pattern, there's fill pattern. Click on that one there and my fill boundary is gonna be that sketch I just created there. So it's gonna be sketch number four and then I'm gonna choose this feature right here in the center as the piece I would like to pattern around so in that box I'm gonna go ahead and choose cut extrude number one and notice it patterns at across the outside of the park. Also I wanna point out that the boundary right now has a negative value in it. If I change that to zero, it will change the pattern so just the parts inside…
