- [Instructor] If you're working with injection molded parts, a lot of times, you're going to have some kind of snap feature, or some kind of an undercut to have two pieces snap together, or somehow connect and we have a tool inside of SOLIDWORKS called Undercut Analysis, which will show us what's going on. Go ahead and click on Undercut Analysis here and you can see here, the pull direction, or the directional pull. I can choose a face, or a regional plane here, so I'm going to go ahead and choose the top plane and you can see there, it colors the model for us. You can see what's happening here across the model and, if we're looking for an undercut, you can see right here, this little red patch here is obviously below this surface. So, here's an undercut here and here's another one over here. So, what's causing a problem here is I can't pull the model apart this way because this material here is pretty much covering this lower section here and there's no way for me to separate that…
