Trim and Extend Entities
- One of the most powerful features that we can use inside of the sketch is the Trim and Extend feature. Let's run through that real quickly. Up here in the command ribbon we find the Trim Entities button. If we click on the drop down below, we see Trim Entities and Extend Entities. Now Extend Entities is pretty simple. We just click on it, you select an entity, and it'll extend to automatically the next logical line. So I can click on this and extend there. I can click on the line again and keep extending it out farther and farther. As you can see, this line cannot extend any further, because it doesn't run into another feature, but this line will extend, and this line would extend. So just simply hovering over the line and then clicking. Then you can keep clicking and watch it extend through. So that's a pretty powerful feature. What I really like is the Trim Entities feature.
