Learn how to create and control a style spline in this video.
- [Male Narrator] When you're looking to create…a Spline that gives you the most amount of control,…you may want to consider the Style Spline.…If we go up to our Sketch toolbar here…and click on the dropdown for Spline,…the second option down is the Style Spline,…and you can see it's got these lines and dots around it.…We're going to go ahead and turn that on…and see what we get here.…Now we have a few different types of ssplines:…A Bézier, a B-Spline with 3 degrees,…a B-Spline with 5 degrees, and a B-Spline with 7 degrees.…
Right now let's not focus…on the exact differences between them,…what you have to know is they'll control how…smooth and how tightly this Spline adheres…to the Control Lines that are out there.…So I'm going to just start from the origin…and just start drawing some points out in space here.…And you can see as I go along --…- - I'm going to hit escape now --…- - these Control Lines control the magnitude…and the shape of the curve.…But, what they do create is a very smooth…Spline that transitions very well.…
