- [Narrator] For this week's tip I'm going to be showing you how to make a square or semi-square spring. Now this is actually a request by somebody who wanted to know how to do this, so I figured it'd be a good thing to show as a tip and trick for the week. So to get started, first thing I need to do is make a surface and the surface I have right here is an extruded surface, so if I just kind of roll back here, I'm going to go ahead and take a look at that sketch so I just have a basic sketch, I'm going to absorb it, here's my sketch, I just drew a rectangle, and let's go ahead and show that, there's my rectangle, then I come up here to Surfaces, get an Extruded Surface and that's how we end up with the first surface, here it is. Alright, now what I need to do is create a helix inside of there. So I already have a circle down here, I'm going to click on that circle, come over here to Curves and say Helix or Spiral alright, and so I'm going to create a spiral that goes pretty much all…
