- [Instructor] We've set up the loads and boundary conditions, we're now ready to run the analysis. We can select Run This Study. That will launch the analysis. When it's complete, we can see results down here. We can see a default stress one is our vonMises stress plot. If we look at the big end up here, hit space bar and go to that. We can see we've got a realistic detail stress distribution around the big end here. Now, that's in contrast to the previous course, when we ran the con rod model, but there we can strain the big end fully to ground, we just essentially super-glued it down. There were no meaningful stresses in the region in that case. Here, we're able to look at the big end and little end stresses simultaneously. If we go to the center of the model, we zoom in, we can see that there are no local stress concentrations around where we applied the constraints.
