- [Instructor] In this week's example I'm going to be showing you an easy way to rename SOLIDWORKS files. Now, I have a comparison here between Windows Explorer over here on the right and SOLIDWORKS Explorer over here on the left, and both of these programs are very similar. They allow us to view through our documents, we can rename things, we can move things around, but SOLIDWORKS Explorer has a few extra powerful tools built into it, which allows us to rename things, which will then automatically update the links of where those are, which will automatically update the, which will automatically update the links of where those parts or assemblers are used. Now let me show you the problem first. So, over here in Windows Explorer, I'm going to go ahead and change one of these files. So here's my assembly, and these are the individual files inside of that. Let's go down to this part right here, click on the name, and just add test to the end of it.
