Learn how to use the rapid sketch feature. Rapid sketch allows you to make sketches on multiple faces in one action.
- While it's not the same as creating a 3D sketch,…creating a rapid sketch or using the rapid sketch feature…can be very similar because it gives you…the ability to quickly make sketches…in different planes and surfaces in 3D space.…So I'm going to go up my sketch tool bar…and turn on rapid sketch.…I'm going to go over and select the align feature…and I'm going to just start drawing.…So I'm going to do down here and you see,…as I hover flat surfaces, their highlighted in gray,…this is the surface that I'm going to actually…start drawing my sketch on.…
So as I click, it activates that surface…and I can draw some geometry on that.…When I'm done, I just hit Escape, go back up here…and pick another feature that I want to add,…but it doesn't automatically assume…that I want to use this face.…I can, if I want, but if I hover over another face,…it'll just start sketching on that face instead.…Different in 3D space, so it's kind of like a 3D sketch…in that way.…I can also go over, without even hitting Escape,…and just float over to another face…
