Placing and using axes is useful to create new ways to revolve or pattern objects. SOLIDWORKS has the ability to intelligently place new axes around a variety objects such as planes, points, cylindrical faces or between planes and points. You can use these new axes to rotate objects or create patterns around the newly created axis. New axes aid you in assembling parts and in defining the center of a design.
