- [Instructor] The Path Mate may be a question…you could see on the exam,…and I want to show you how to establish a basic Path Mate.…Now, before we get into actually creating the mate,…I want to make sure we have the model in the state…that we can actually move it around so that the…components can follow that path.…So, the first thing I want to do is, I want to make sure…that this component here, this subassembly…here, is in the flexible state.…So, you can do that by clicking on a component properties,…and then coming down here to solve as rigid…or flexible, and clicking on flexible.…
Or, your other option is just click on that component right…there, and come over here to make subassembly flexible.…Either one of those will work, so now we can…move this around in this assembly.…Now, let's go ahead and suppress the mates that are keeping…these angles locked between the components.…So, I'm going to go down here to mates, let's go ahead…and suppress this first angle right here.…Suppress that one, and then come down to the second…
