- [Instructor] Selecting the right material…for your part is essential to getting the right values…for the mass, and center of mass for your part.…Let's just go quickly and review…how to add a material and modify it.…Go over here to the left, notice I have…brass selected right now.…I can right click on that, I can say edit material,…or I can choose from any of my favorite materials here.…Click on edit material first,…I get this little dialog window that pops up.…I can choose anything from copper, to steel,…to iron, or all these different selections here.…I can even create my own materials.…Most of the time, in the exams, you're going to be seeing…steel, AISI 10120, or aluminum 1060.…
Those are the two most common I've seen,…but it could be just about anything.…Now, I would definitely recommend,…because you're going to be using these…same materials multiple times, I would go over here…to favorites and add a favorite.…So click on aluminum alloys, click on…the one you want, and then click on add.…It's saying I already have it on my favorites list,…
