Enable Snapping
- [Instructor] When working with these sketches, another setting that we want to be aware of is snapping. It's very simple and easy to understand. When you draw a new geometry or have existing geometry, you can see that as I move my cursor around the GUI, those little dotted lines pop up, and what's going on is it's snapping into positions to relate to those entities that are there. It doesn't snap to the grid by default like it would in AutoCAD or other softwares, but it will snap to other existing geometries, so I can snap it vertically, I can snap it down or up, I can snap it horizontally, I can snap right to another point, and all that means is that it's locating that endpoint there and just moving the cursors automatically, so you don't have to position it perfectly to the .0000001 decimal point place. It just does that automatically for you. So right now, I have the snapping on and you can see the effect it has as it moves around. I can quickly drop these endpoints in spots that…
