Designing with blocks
- Besides copying and saving out blocks into the file system for reuse, I can also use them to work out and figure out mechanisms. The best thing to do here, is to select and start a sketch, I'm going to then take individual sections of the sketch, like this part here, and I'm going to convert them into blocks themselves. So I'm going to click on, make block, using these sketch entities up here, and click on ok. Then I'm going to convert each individual other section into a block as well. So they all have to be separate blocks. So this line here, and this line here, I'm going to convert those to blocks as well. So, one block there. Click ok. Same thing down here, I'm going to click on this one, and that one. Make it a block. Click ok. This line right here, I'll just go ahead and make that one a block. And finally, this circle, and this line, becomes a block. So these are all individual blocks. You can see them all over here. So, each block is established as its own entity. Then I can…
