Delete Face

- [Instructor] When taking in mesh files from various resources, sometimes you get errors where you just have extra data in there that you don't need. In this example, I've simulated an extra group of solid geometry in my model that's erroneous. What I'm going to do is use the Delete Face feature to clear this out while still maintaining this geometry surface from one side to another. I'm going to go to Insert, Face Delete, and select the surfaces that I want to get rid of. Now if I just delete them straight up, it's going to create a surface body here that's hollow. That's not what I want to do. What I want to do is maintain the solid body and patch it together. Changing that option to Delete and Patch, I hit okay. And now you can see that I've maintained my geometry across that arc and repaired it on this revolve as well. Now if you go back in, there's a third option for Delete and Fill called Tangent Fill.
