- [Instructor] If you're working with large or complex assemblies and you're trying to interact those with other parts or assemblies, you might want to use the defeature command, and what that does is it takes and makes simplified block models of your design. Now, with SOLIDWORKS 2019, they've actually improved that, so when you're working with very large models, or you just don't need as much information, you can create what's called a silhouette style. So let me show you how to do that. Head up here to tools and come down here to defeature. Click on defeature. Now you want to be using this mode inside of your assembly, right? So you have assembly with a bunch of parts in it, and we are going to defeature it. So over here you can see on the right, is a preview of what's going to happen to our model. Now we have a couple different groups that I've already kind of pre-created here, but if you didn't have that group, you can just click and delete that out. So I'm just going to go ahead…
