Creating the valve

Creating the valve

- Next we will model a valve, start a new part, and save it. Start a new sketch on the front plane. Sketch a vertical line upward. Let's dimension this at 165 millimeters. We can, of course, change any dimensions later as we see fit. For now, follow my lead and let's sketch the revolve profile for our valve. Now let's fully define the sketch with dimensions. Make the bottom horizontal line 27 millimeters. The top horizontal five millimeters. The horizontal just below it one millimeter. The distance to the cut we can make seven millimeters. For the cut width, three millimeters will do. For this bottom vertical line two millimeters. From the origin to the angled vertix, seven millimeters. Do a revolve and select the first vertical line for the axis of revolution. We want it at 360 degrees and "ok" to complete the command. Add a 10 millimeter fillet to this inside edge. To this edge add an angled distance chamfer. Make the distance two millimeters and go with an angle of 30 degrees, and…
