Learn how to generate wiring drawings in SOLIDWORKS. Drawings are commonly used as a final output in projects.
- [Instructor] Once we're happy with our final assembly,…one of the final outputs we may generate for our project…would just be an assembly drawing file,…again, a very similar process to any drawing file.…I can go to my File dropdown…and Make Drawing From Assembly,…choose the template I would like,…and say OK, and then I'll create me a new drawing file here,…and as always we can use our side panel View Palette here.…
It should automatically pop up,…but if it doesn't we have our View Palette here,…and I can pull in whichever views I may like.…In this case…maybe I want to grab just an Isometric view here,…and I'll pull that in,…and then, within my properties,…maybe make a few changes here.…Maybe I'd like it to be Shaded With Edges,…give it some color,…and maybe a little bit larger in this case,…so I'm going to change the scaling,…let's say 1:4,…or maybe even 1:2 here,…and try to fit it to there in my drawing,…somewhere about this, and say OK.…
I'm just showing my collapsed or assembled view,…but notice with that exploded view that we used…
