- [Instructor] For this week's tip, I'm going to be showing you to click. For this weeks' tip, I'm going to be showing you how to create a quick bill of materials from inside of SOLIDWORKS Explorer. Now if you go into SOLIDWORKS Explorer you can see you can just go to any one of your different folders and in this case here I'm in this T26 folder and I've got several different parts plus an assembly there and I'm going to create a bill of material of these parts. Now this can be a multi-level bill of materials with all kinds of different parts, sub-assemblies and so on and it works exactly the same. But I'm just going to start with a pretty small subset of parts and assemblies and go from there. So anyways, get into the folder you're looking for, click on the assembly row, any of the parts, basically the whole folder and then come up here to the second icon over which is called save to file.
