Creating blocks

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'm going to be showing you how to create your own block and then actually use it to create a part. Here's the scenario. First things first is, I've already created this sketch. You can see there's quite a bit of detail in this sketch. If you zoom in here, I've got a whole bunch of dimensions, I've got some center lines creating this cutout. Now, this cutout is for a motherboard on a computer chassis. Now, if you want to use the same cutout multiple times, it would be great to be able to save this as a block and then use it throughout your design. Because I already had this sketch pretty much done, let's go ahead and just wrap this whole thing up and turn it into a block. To do that, go over here and select the entire sketch. I'm going to go ahead and highlight everything in the sketch, then come over here to our blocks toolbar. Make sure that's on.
