Create the linkage
- [Instructor] The final part that we're going to make in this section is the linkage. Again, this is a very simple part, and it just joins the rods directly to the cranks. Start a new part and start a sketch on the front plane. Then select the Slot tool, which is up here on the Sketch tab. We want to choose the second option, which is this one, a Center Point Straight Slot. If you look at these little numbers on the icon, these actually indicate how the tool works. So number one is the first click, that sets the center of the slot. Number two is the second click, that sets the length. And then number three, the third and final click sets the width. So let's click at the origin to set the center of the slot, and move out to the side, click again to set the length, and then move up or down and click again to set the width. Then let's add some Smart Dimensions. So let's make the length 60 millimeters, and then for the…
