- [Voiceover] In this example, I'm going to be showing you…some tips on how to use the Convert Entities…as well as the Offset Entities tools.…My first example here is a simple spline on a front plane,…and I'm gonna click on the line itself…and then choose Offset Entities.…Now, as soon as I do, I'm already offsetting that entity…showing up here by this yellow line by .1 inches.…Now I can also switch over here and go by directional,…so it's going in both directions here,…and now I have the option to click on Cap Ends.…
I can choose either arcs or lines.…Let's go ahead and zoom in there and take a look,…so you can see there's lines and there's arcs,…and you can see by doing that I converted that line…into a slot.…Now I can change the width of the slot,…make it bigger, make it smaller,…and I also have the ability to change this center line here…from my regular line into construction geometry.…Go ahead and click on this box right here,…and then click on OK.…Now I have a nice little slot,…I can then turn this into a 3D part by clicking on…
