Building an exploded view for an assembly drawing

- The key thing we're trying to relay when we're making an assembly drawing is how to put the parts together and which parts are involved. A lot of times the best way to do that is to explode your view so you can see how the individual items are placed together and which hardware or something like that is used to put things together. This should take you back to the last time you looked at an instruction sheet when it shows you what pieces of hardware and how to put things together. Everybody seems to love instructions. And now you're going to have the ability to create your own instruction sheet. Let's go ahead and open up the assembly. Click on Open Assembly here. And I'm going to go up here to Exploded View. So under the Assembly toolbar go to Exploded View, click on that one and now I want to click on the items and how I want to move them out so click on the very first, the top part here and notice I get this triad that pops up and shows me all the different directions and…
