Alternate position view

- One other nice feature that we have inside of SolidWorks Drawing views is the use of an Alternate view. Now, an Alternate view gives us the possibility of showing a different positional configuration of an assembly. In this specific example we have a wrench that you can squeeze down the handle onto, which enacts the motion of the wrench or the clamp. We can show an alternate view of this using our alternate position drawing view. How do we do this? We're going to go up to the insert dropdown, go to drawing view down to alternate position. Click on that. We're now going to select the view to create the alternate position. This alternate position is actually going to show up inside of a current view. So, I'm going to select this view. We see the Property Manager updates here on the left and we're going to keep it on New Configuration and click okay. Now this is going to switch us over to our SolidWorks Assembly…
