Adding custom properties
- [Instructor] Custom properties are notes that you can add to an individual part that stay with the part. It's kind of like metadata. It's attached to the part, and anywhere that part is used, you have access to that metadata. So to go ahead and create some custom properties, let's go ahead and open up the part. Go ahead and look down here, noticing there's nothing down here besides the drawing number and the revision A. Okay, now if I come over here, and I click on that part and I say Open, now if I come up here to this little icon here which is File Properties, click on that, notice we've got a summary, so you can add in the author, keywords, and comments. Over here is custom properties, and then you have configuration-specific properties. So if we add a custom property over here, you click on the dropdown, you can see a list of all the available custom properties.
