Adding assemblies to drawings

[Narrator] In this movie, we're going to be creating an assembly drawing for the components you see here on the screen. Now the focus for creating an assembly drawing is a little bit different from creating a part drawing. Generally in a part drawing, you're trying to find the exact size, location of holes, the material, the finish, and so on. When you jump over to an assembly drawing, the focus is different. Now you want to actually just define which components are in the assembly, what pieces of hardware are being used, and any methods we're going to be using to attach the components together. Lets go ahead and create an assembly drawing from these components here. Coming under file, come down here to make a drawing from assembly, and go ahead and lets choose this default template, click on ok. Once you have the template opened up, now I can go ahead and drag in one of the views. So in this case lets go ahead and bring in this back view that looks fine. Drag that into my assembly…
