Join Thiago Santos Mundim for an in-depth discussion in this video Opening and navigating a SMC file, part of Solibri Model Checker Essential Training.
- [Instructor] Let's take a quick look…how we open and navigate a project in Solibri.…We start on the file layer here…where we have a list of recent files that we have opened.…Those are all IFC files, but we can also open SMC files…from Solibri Model Check.…To do that, we go in open model, I'm going to find my file.…This is the SMC file that I want to open…and then hit open.…Solibri take us to the model layer,…and the way Solibri works is by having layers…for different functions, so I have one layer here…for checking, one layer for communication,…one layer for information takeoff.…
If I click here on checking, I can see all the rule sets…that someone created on this file.…I can see the issues that they had.…Here I can see the communication,…the presentations that was created,…all the issues that was spotted on this project.…And last we can see the information takeoff layer…where we can see here a list of all the takeoff items.…It also open here a to do list for me,…I'm just going to ignore that and close and go back to model.…
This course starts with understanding the tools and the classifications system, so you can do information takeoff and data mining. Next, understand and create rule sets to validate not only model clashes, but also regulations requirements and quality control. Last, explore the Model Checker reporting and communication features and find out how to use the Information Takeoff view to visualize and analyze model components based on their properties.
