- [Tutor] When you specify ranges in a custom format a dash next to a number includes the value. For example, 58 dash 60 includes the value 58 and all values up to and including 60. A less than symbol before the ending value excludes the ending value, 50 dash less than 58 includes the value 50 and all values less than 58. A less than symbol after the starting value excludes the starting value, 60 less than dash 70 includes values greater than 60 up to and including 70. Key words can also be specified on the value statement. You can use low or high as one value in a range. Low represents the lowest possible value and high represents the highest possible value. Low dash less than 58 includes all numeric values less than 58 including negative values and zero. Greater than 60 dash high includes all numeric values greater than 60.
