- [Instructor] I wanted to demonstrate using the SAS Import Wizard for you, I also wanted to demonstrate merging two data sets in SAS for you, so to do that, in this movie, we are going to import the CSV file I have open here. Then, in the next movie, I'm going to show you how to merge it with the BRFSS data sets we've been working with. This file is in your exercise files and it is called state underscore descriptions dot CSV See this column named underscore state? There is a column in the BRFSS data set with the same name. In that column, our numbers which are a numeric code for the state called a FIPS code. You'll see I made the CSV and what I did was write out the state name in the State Desc column In the next movie, we will merge the CSV with our BRFSS data set using the state code as the index variable, so we can add state descriptions to our data set.
