Skill Level Beginner
(upbeat music) - The world is at a turning point with data and analytics. Soon everything and everyone will be generating data around the clock. We need tools to help us analyze this data so we can answer questions and advance our understanding of the world. At SAS, we work to enable exploration and discovery, to encourage you to believe that no data problem is too great, no question too complex, and that the search for answers will lead to positive change for your business, for your neighbors, for the good of the planet. SAS offers many tools and solutions that empower you to derive meaning from data. But at the core of each one is the SAS programming language. You've made a great decision to learn SAS programming. Trained SAS users can discover, anticipate, and act on data-driven opportunities. These skills are in high demand. It's never been a better time to learn SAS. We're excited to have you join our SAS programming course to begin your journey. I'm Stacey Syphus, an instructor at SAS. In this course, you learn how to write SAS code to handle the most common data processing tasks. As you go through the process of making data meaningful and actionable, you'll likely follow a process that includes these basic steps: access data or read it with a program, explore the data to see what's there and what you might need to add or change, prepare the data for analysis, analyze and report on the data, and export results to various report and data formats. We'll use this process as the framework for teaching you the fundamentals of the SAS programming language. So let's jump right in to learning SAS programming. We can't wait to see what you'll contribute.
