- [Instructor] Congratulations, you've made it to the end of our journey. Let's review the process of how we got here. In the first three chapters of this course, we focused on creating our analytic data set. I had already developed a set of demonstration hypotheses, which I shared with you. I also had already used the BRFSS documentation to help me operationalize the exposures, outcomes, and all the confounders we need in our analytic data set. I documented that in a data dictionary, which I shared with you also. Then together, we used SAS to apply exclusions to the data set and develop a data reduction spreadsheet, which could be turned into a diagram too. Finally, we used SAS code to create all the variables we need in our analytic data set, then finalize the analytic data set. Then, in chapters four, five, and six, we did descriptive analysis.
