When presenting the results of logistic regression models, decisions need to be made. PROC LOGISTIC output provides many choices of what metrics to present in a model table, and different options are discussed. Examples are provided from the literature.
- [Instructor] Now we will move on … to think about the different ways … to present logistic regression models. … Okay, this slide is similar to the linear regression slide … but there is an important difference in logistic regression. … The field of public health has a lot … of influence on model presentation, … mainly because public health has to make practical use out … of all those slopes on the output. … So, while your logistic regression model presentation … will still be influenced by your field … and by the statistical package you use … and by personal preference, there are actually … some standards you will want to observe. … In public health, we found out the hard way … that it is actually harmful not to present the odds ratios … and their confidence intervals … in your logistic regression model presentation. … In public health, some people used … to just present the log odds slopes and the P-values. … They still do it this way in some other fields, … but in public health, we had to stop that. …
