- [Narrator] As you may already know, data analysis generally involves a lot of electronic files. This movie will recommend to you how to organize the files in this course so as to minimize stress. First I recommend setting up your project like this. Create a project directory and within it create three sub-directories and name them code, data, and documentation. The data directory will be the one where we import data from and export data to. Throughout the course series if there is a data set provided in the exercise files for a movie, copy it into the data directory and then you'll be able to do the activities in that section. Likewise, the code directory is only for code. When you are provided code as an exercise file, place it in the code directory. Finally, the documentation directory is for curation files. Such as the code book we just looked at in the last section. The documentation folder is also where you should keep the documentation you make. Such as your data dictionary…
