- [Instructor] Now is the time to start our descriptive analysis with a continuous dependent variable. See the exercise file I have open? It's called 310_Normal Plot of SLEPTIM1. Remember, our continuous dependent variable is average hours of sleep per night. You know, now would be a good time to clear the results pane. We won't need to refer to these results while we do our continuous analysis. Let's go do that. Let's start by clicking on the word 'results' at the top of the tree. Now we will right-click and choose 'delete'. Are you sure you want to delete all of the Results' items? I actually don't think this is an important question, because you could theoretically regenerate the results from rerunning your code. So we can comfortably choose 'yes'. Whew, a nice, clean slate! Don't forget, we now have to click back on the editor window to go back to our code. When you have a continuous dependent variable, you often worry about its distribution. I'll give you a spoiler.
