Controlling column output - SAS Tutorial
From the course: SAS® 9.4 Cert Prep: Part 08 Controlling Data Step Processing
Controlling column output
- [Instructor] When you use a DROP or KEEP statement in the DATA step, the column is flagged for dropping or keeping in the PDV, and that action applies to all of the tables listed on the data statement, so what if you want to keep different columns in each of the output tables? You can use the DROP= or KEEP= data set options to specify a unique list of columns for each table listed in the data statement. The PDV keeps track of the columns to drop from the specific output table.
