Chi-square and Fisher’s exact tests

- [Instructor] Now we are going to conduct some statistical tests to add to our table. Please note that these are not a priori statistical tests. We don't really have one hypothesis per test. These tests have a different purpose. The purpose of these tests, especially when you have a very big data set like we do, are to give you a hint as to what independent variables are not associated with your dependent variable in bivariate analysis. Why do I say not associated? Because actually, when you have big data, two variables are even a little associated, the P value is still astronomically low due to having so many rows, so if two variables are actually not associated, it's more interesting to me and can inform my regression approach which you can experience with me in the second course in the series.
