Manage fixed assets demo

- The Manage Fixed Assets app can be accessed from the display asset master work list that we've just seen in the previous lesson. I'm starting in the display asset master work list. There are two ways to access the manage fixed assets app. Either by clicking on the arrow to the right of the asset line or I can click on the blue asset number and then select the relevant app. Or add apps by clicking on more links if it's not there. At the top you see the asset description. And then the next section is all about the depreciation. In this case, depreciation area 01. Book depreciation is selected. And in the section below, you can see the key figures. I can select another depreciation area. In this case 32 for IFRS and see those key figures instead. And I can change the year as well. I can select journal entries to see the transactions and documents for that asset and depreciation area. And I can change the columns using the settings button. I can click on the depreciation tab to see the posted and plan depreciation for each month. As the asset was only acquired in November and I haven't run the November depreciation. There are only two months plan depreciation showing. Further down we can see a chart to the netbook values and we can change the format of the chart, turn the legend on and off and zoom in and out. Back to the very top we can choose different tabs such as the general tab. This shows us general master data and we can scroll down further for further information. The origin tab is similar to the origin tab in the display asset master app. And may be filled automatically with the vendor depending on how the values are posted. The compare values tab will be initially blank until we've selected the values that we wish to compare by clicking on the filter button and selecting at the top the years to compare and lower down the depreciation areas to compare. You can see the gross book value of APC, cumulated depreciation and netbook value for the different areas and different years.
