- [Instructor] In the basic configuration unit, you have learned to download the goal plan template from success store. Add it to customer instance and modify the categories and fields used in the form. Subsequently, in the day-to-day administration unit, you have also learned the process of assigning goal management permissions to users. Now you can see the demos and relate your earlier learning with the lessons in this unit. Here you'll first get to know the goal panel and then how it is used for different purposes. Goal and objective terms are used interchangeably in system. It is set up in provisioning, the backend system during implementation of performance and goals management solution. Goal categories are used to organize goals. Standard goal plan template provides four categories, financial, customer, internal business processes and learning and growth, which can be changed or deleted in template settings. In the goal panel, the categories are displayed as of goal plan template settings. Goal plan fields are of different types, text, such as goal name and metric, percent such as weight and percentage complete. date, such as start and due dates, dropdown or table fields, such as status and milestone. Goal visibility refers to the public and private goals, which means if a goal is marked as public, it can be accessed by others in addition to its creator. And if a goal is selected as private, they are available only to the users and sometimes to the managers and users depending on how the permissions are set up. Team and group goals differ in terms of the appearance in the manager's and employee's goal plans. In the team goals, the creator does not share the accountability while in the group goal it's shared. Goal Wizard is a tool which is activated in the general settings of goal plan template. It is used to facilitate users with creating SMART goals systematically. SMART means, specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound.
