Turbolinks 5: Ruby on Rails 5 New Features

Turbolinks in Ruby on Rails 5 is a ground-up rewrite of the previous version (now called “Turbolinks Classic”). The new version is faster and allows partial replacement. Kevin explains the advantages of using Turbolinks to make Ajax requests which will replace only the body of the currently loaded page, without reloading the head of the page or loaded CSS and JavaScript resources. He shows how to enable Turbolinks and how to use it to perform partial page replacement by marking content as permanent or temporary.
